We’re looking for a News Manager to lead and inspire our editorial team across our network of community newspapers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee a team of journalists and sub-editors, ensuring high standards of news reporting and editing

· Review and approve editorial content for publication

· Ensure coverage is relevant, community-focused, and includes trending and newsworthy topics

· Drive editorial direction, guide story development, and uphold journalistic integrity

· Collaborate with layout/design and advertising teams to meet production deadlines

· Monitor and respond to local news developments and reader interests

Requirements:

· Proven editorial/journalism experience, preferably in print or community news

· Strong leadership and communication skills

· Excellent news judgment and attention to detail

· Ability to manage multiple publications and tight deadlines

· A passion for community storytelling and current affairs
